NFL Network Top 100 Players: Fred Jackson The Only Bill

Photo

Earlier this week, the NFL Network concluded a series in which it ranked the Top 100 players currently playing professional football. Only one Buffalo Bills player made the list, with running back Fred Jackson announced as the No. 83 overall player prior to the 2012 NFL Draft.

That's it. One Bill. Let's not pretend that we expected the list to be riddled with a dozen players in Buffalo, but there were certainly worthy candidates. Mario Williams and Kyle Williams come to mind, for starters.

Willis McGahee made this list, people. He came in at No. 98. McGahee's had a solid career and all, and had a particularly good 2012 season, but I can't fathom how anyone could consider him a better - or more valuable - football player than the two Bills that didn't make the list. (And I'm sure there are many more players from the other 31 teams that could be considered snubs, as well.)

Star-divide

McGahee was the first of four ex-Bills players that made the list, joining fellow running back Marshawn Lynch (No. 94), middle linebacker London Fletcher (No. 87) and left tackle Jason Peters (No. 42).

Take a look at the full list, then let us know whether or not you see a place to slide in either Mario or Kyle - or any other Bills player you believe belongs in the discussion, if you so choose. (I imagine Stevie Johnson will be brought up once or twice, for example.)
