No, the image above isn?t from a new Sonic game ? but according to Sega of Europe, the Blue Blur is due to see a new big console game next year. He?ll also see a massive merchandising expansion, as well as ?several new digital games.? Whether that actually means ?new games? or just ?new re-releases of old games? remains to be seen ? there?s a lot of potential to bring large chunks of the series to Wii U, including the DreamCast games, Sonic CD and the HD version of last year?s Sonic Generations.

Over the next year there will be a big focus on the expansion of toy distribution across Europe. Similarly, we will also be growing the apparel, publishing and stationary categories.
