WASHINGTON, D.C. - Montana's two senators are urging President Obama to take quick action to approve the Keystone X-L Pipeline.
Senator Max Baucus is leading a bipartisan group of senators including Jon Tester pushing for the administration to take action.
Baucus says now that the election is over, it's time to work together to create jobs and move forward. He says Nebraska is close to approving an alternate route for the pipeline, which had been a sticking point in getting the administration's approval.
Tester adds the pipeline will create jobs and increase America's energy security.
A letter from 18 senators to the president requests a meeting followed by quick action on issuing a permit.
